Green DMV promotes two programs as vehicles to move its mission forward to bring sustainability to low income communities and create a green collar workforce in these communities. The programs include the Green DMV Business Program and the Green Collar Workforce training program.

The Green DMV Business Program assists in retrofitting small and disadvantaged businesses in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia to reduce their carbon footprint and create a more sustainable business environment in the low-income community. Green DMV conducts sustainability assessments to help these small and disadvantaged businesses realize the true benefit of "going green" and offer them an opportunity to positively manage their impact on the environment.

Green DMV's Green Collar Job Workforce training is essential in creating a green-collar workforce in the communities that we serve to support green-collar jobs in the Washington metropolitan area. Through strategic partnerships with community support organizations, our green-collar workforce program significantly contributes to the economic advancement of low-income communities and at-risk youth by transitioning these individuals into the new green economy.
